Fast jede Tour durch Marrakesch beginnt an der Koutoubia-Moschee aus dem 12. Jahrhundert, mit ihrem prächtigen Minarett, das über dem Djemaa thront. Das Minarett, gekrönt von einer Laterne mit drei goldenen Kugeln, ist das älteste und reinste erhaltene Beispiel der Architektur der Almohaden. Die beiden atemberaubendsten Denkmäler der Stadt stammen aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Erfreuen Sie Ihre Augen und kühlen Sie sich ab in der prächtigen Ben Youssef Madrassa, der größten Koranschule Nordafrikas. Noch prächtiger sind die schillernden Saadier-Gräber, die nach dem Vorbild des Inneren der Alhambra in Granada gestaltet wurden. Der Blick von der Terrasse des Badi-Palastes, der heute in Ruinen liegt, ist majestätisch. In der Nähe finden wir den Bahia-Palast aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Es ist ein prächtiger und schöner Palast mit ruhigen, von Brunnen gesäumten Gärten. Um der unerbittlichen Mittagssonne zu entkommen, schlendern Sie durch die üppigen Menara-Gärten und entspannen Sie sich im charmanten Pavillon am See. Marrakesch ist laut, geschäftig, staubig und chaotisch. Es ist ein visuelles und sensorisches Festmahl aus Farben, verschiedenen Kulturen, Architektur und Design.
